Summative Assessment: Thursday 6th October 2016

Your first summative assessment of the year will be next Thursday (6thOctober).
You will recieve a mark for category C (33%) and category D (33%)
You will be marked on your use of the following:

–Adjectives and adverbs used to express emotions (from the Student Book)
–Crime and gang vocabulary from On the Sidewalk Bleeding
–Conditionals (all four! We’ll be revising these today)

–Phrasal verbs (from a Quizlet list that we’ll be looking at soon)

–Persuasive language devices (we’ll spend a short time revising these also)

Recapping Conditionals

You should all be familiar with conditionals (you studied them in Year 8), but just in case you've forgotten about them, the table below should help you to remember...

Now that you've had chance to study the above table, you should write down the grammatical structure of each of the four conditionals in your notebook. Once you've done that, spend some time testing your knowledge of conditionals by clicking on some of the links below.

Please copy and paste the exercises with your answers into word documents as evidence that you have completed them.
Save them with the name: 0/1st/2nd/3rd Conditionals Practice 29 09 16

*Don't forget: You will be expected to use ALL FOUR conditionals accurately in your assessment next week.
